Over the last couple of years we have noticed that Sydney has wholeheartedly taken on her role as the "baby of the family." I'm sure that many of her characteristics are due to the fact that I want her to stay "my baby" for as long as possible. Her "baby talk" has stuck around way too long, and we've really been trying to break her of that habit. The problem is that as a mother I can understand what she's saying, so it's hard for me to always catch her and correct her. Jason is not as perceptive to her language, though, and he frequently thinks that she's speaking Chinese.
This past Sunday evening, while they were on their way home from church, Sydney was talking about what she had learned in her class. Her teacher had given them a rather large sheet of paper to draw and color an illustration of the lesson they had learned. When she started talking about "Moses and the Burning Bush," Jason thought she said something about a "Barney Bus." How Funny!
Sydney insisted that we hang the picture up on a wall somewhere in the house. So, I suggested we hang it over her bed in her bedroom. Here's a video clip of her giving her rendition of the story. Enjoy!
