We had a really good time at my parents' house this past weekend. Saturday was spent with the family. We had taco salad stuff for lunch, and Jason made his homemade tortillas for those that wanted burritos...they were yummy! He also made a pan of brownies for my "birthday cake," and we topped it with some (non-dairy ice cream) Cookie Avalanche made by Purely Decadent. It was really good!
Before we served up the brownies, I decided that since it was my birthday (which means I can basically do what I want for the day), I was going to play the "thankful game." You know, the one you usually play at Thanksgiving with your family? So, after they sang "Happy Birthday" to me, I proceeded to name several things that I am thankful for, including my family, Jason and the girls, God's blessings...etc. Then it was my girls' turn to share something they are thankful for. Watch the video clip below to see what they had to say...

Congratulations! We will be praying for you as you adjust to everything that comes with expecting a new little one!
YAY!!! I'm so excited for you! Praise the Lord. Is this the unspoken we have been praying for, or is there something else still out there?
Sandra,
That was part of it. =) There is definitely still more out there, though, so thank you for praying.
Well, again congrats! I have to say that I had a clue on last Sunday. Something about how you were looking at Molly, it crossed my mind. Must be woman's intuition. Anyway, so thrilled for you guys. Now, when you consider names, I would think long and hard about Julie. It's a good strong name! ;)
What a fun way to spread the news! Congratulations!
Julie,
Well, maybe there was something there, but I stare at newborns like that (pregnant or not). =) There's just something about them that I can't take my eyes off of them. =)
You know, honestly, I love the "Jul" type names....Julie, Julia, Julianna, etc., but I have a niece named Julia, so it might be confusing to have more than one. =)
Congrats! We are so happy for you and your family.
That's soo exciting! I hope the girls get a little brother to boss around and dress up! Ha Ha.
I know you're concerned how your health will hold up, so we will put that on our list of prayers!
The Lord will never give more than you can handle:)
That is so great! We're so happy for you all. :)
