Free Classical Sheet Music
If you are an avid (or even aspiring) musician, you will want to check out this site! The Mutopia Project has a collection of over 1,300 pieces of classical music available free to download, print out, perform, distribute...etc. All of the music on this site is considered to be public domain. Here are the license details.
Once you are on the site, you will have the option to browse by composer (Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Diabelli, Handel, Mozart...etc.), by instrument (Piano, Vocal, Organ, Violin, Guitar, Orchestra...etc.), by a list of all the music, or by their latest additions to the site. Once you choose a piece that you would like to see, just look for the "Letter .pdf file" link, which should be in the lower right hand corner of that piece's table. The file will come up for you to view before you print it.
These are not obscure pieces, either. Here is a piece I played for one of my high school piano recitals-Beethoven's Sonata Pathetique. Here are some other pieces that I've played-Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata and Beethoven's Fur Elise. I printed Bizet's Prelude from Carmen (challenging) and Brahm's Waltz (a little more reasonable) to try. There are also some flute pieces. I tried some of them, but most of them were a little too advanced. I think I'll stick to the piano for now. =)
What instruments do you play? So far I just play the piano and flute. I started playing the penny whistle a few months back, but I'm not super proficient with that yet. My goal for the next year is to begin to learn a stringed instrument. My daughter, Larissa, has voiced an interest in learning the violin, so I thought maybe we could learn together. Wouldn't that be awesome?! We could have a whole family of musicians to praise God in song! **whispered** By the way, Jason plays the guitar...here's proof...
Let me know if you find a piece of music that you like. I'd love to hear about it!

That is so cool- now I will be reading thru music alllll night! BTW the flowers look great but you are SOOO not resting!! You should ask Julie about violin. I wnat to learn too but I've not enough time right now.
I am not good at playing the guitar. I have taught myself a couple of chords. So, no one get any ideas about me playing something. It is for fun only. I have had no lessons of any kind.
Listen to Jason be all humble. =) Playing guitar is HARD! I tried to learn a few years ago, and decided it wasn't time. Maybe one of these days...
I play piano, and french horn, and flute. I have two of the three above instruments, but would LOVE to own a flute to practice. I also played a little bit of trumpet in high school.
Violin would be fun to learn, but I've heard it is VERY hard. Let me know how it goes!
Jason, we were hoping for some Cum-by-yah in Sunday School this Sunday! Wow, is there an accepted spelling for that?????
