Sydney's Easter Flower

On Easter Sunday, Sydney's teacher let all the kids plant a couple of seeds in a little cup of soil labeled "Jesus Lives" as an object lesson. Christ was buried like the seeds were "buried" under the soil, and He arose just like the plant will rise from the soil. The teacher instructed them to make sure it got plenty of water and sun, so we placed her cup in one of our windows and watered it every other day. It didn't take long for it to sprout.

When it reached about 6 inches in height, we transplanted it to a larger pot and placed it outside on the back porch. Sydney has really enjoyed watching her plant grow. Here are the first flowers...one is open, and one is still a bud.

Here she is peering through the "jungle" with one of her goofy faces. She is definitely our little comedian. =)
